Does anyone believe you can feel someone else's pain without knowing there is something wrong with them?

I have had the strangest night and morning. Last night while giving my son (2 years old) a bath, he started saying his aunt and uncles names. He doesn't bring them up much so this was strange to me. This morning I woke up vomiting. I am not sick or pregnant and didn't really know what that was all about. I rarely get sick. Later in the day I found out my sister in law (my sons aunt) who is pregnant started bleeding last night. She is ok by the way. Shortly after I got sick this am I found out my parents basement flooded. They are being evacuated from their home because they expect more flooding. Does anyone believe that my son and my reactions were about the misfortune going on with our family even though we didn't know it was happening to them? Any similar stories or explanation of this?
