How can I ease my tooth pain? Root c is in 1 week..?

My root c is in one week due to a chipped back tooth, but just today it started to really hurt, whenever I suck on it or it suction cups at all from my cheek or anything, theres a very strange pain where it feels almost like my gums are being electrucuted.. is there anything to do to supress this pain? orajel did not work, im taking amoxicillin, and took tylenol.. don't know if i can last a week. i already moved up the root c, all i can do is wait.
