I want to do a worm compost tank, how do I start?

I have a 20 gallon terrarium that was used for a gecko. I put about 2 inches of dirt in it to start but I need to know how to start a worm habitat. Can I put plants in the terrarium, how much dirt do I need, any good web pages or advice?
