Why is my vacuum making a really loud sucking noise?

After about 20-30 seconds of vacuuming it starts to make a really loud sucking noise. Yes, I'm sure it's not just the regular vacuum sound. My mom is a control freak. She has to have everything her way and I feel so trapped. I don't doubt that she loves me; I know she does, but she is always so uptight. She always snaps at me and makes me do stuff for her like get her drinks and let the dog out when I'm in my room and she's right next to the door, or saying turn the lights off when she's next to a switch. When I try to confront her she says that she does so much for me so I have no right to complain. I want legal emancipation but I have no money to take care of myself. I feel so trapped and I can't take it anymore. I have sensory issues and anxiety/stress along with all around authority issues. I don't know if I'm overreacting but I don't know what to do.

Truck dies and has no power?

I have a 1978 F150 with a 429 big block. I was driving and everything started to get dimmer and dimmer. It started to sputter and then died. i popped the hood and seen that the alternator ground was off and sparking, so i connected that back up. hooked up a pair of jumper cables and tried to start it. nothing had any power still. wouldnt even crank over. The problem that i am having is that Eli (cat) keeps getting sick all over my floor, window, bed ect- and its also being accompinied by Diarrhea. Unable to isolate ringworm kitten--will my case of ringworm ever go away?

Cant say whether or not the cat is making it worse, but it sounds like it is a good possibility. What I can say is that the best way to treat ringworm is in fact a prescription, but if you cant see a doctor there is another cure- sunlight. If you go tanning and it is in fact ringworm, the UV rays should kill it right off. (might be hard to reach some areas however...) I'd recommend seeing a dermatologist if you can, but catch some sunlight if you can't. Good luck!

My vet won't euthanize our kitten?

We have a kitten and we were going to give her away to a pet store but then we noticed something was protruding out of his bum so we went to the vet and he told us that the cat's rectum has come out and turned inside out so he needed surgery which costs around 400 to 500 dollars. We chose to euthanize the kitten since we are not keeping the kitten. The vet then said it can't euthanize our kitten because he says it's not his choice to euthanize it, he has to call the council or ranger or something like that to come and inspect the kitten and house. Why is it not our choice? And why must a ranger, inspector or the council must be called for a kitten to be euthanized?

Question about 1 yr old feedings?

my son just turned one... and im worried that since he's weaned off his formula he's not getting what he needs.. he doesn't like eating alot of meats, although occasionally a little boiled chicken he'll eat... he ususally eats cereal in the morning, and throughout the day id say about 5 servings of fruit and 5 of vegetables... he doesn't drink alot of anything, but he'll have about 16 oz of milk a day, and maybe 6 of juice or water.... i tried buying gerber puffs or something he would enjoy eating but i dont want him relying on those kinds of foods for much. his stools are usually a little harder then they used to be, and are somewhat less frequent. his urine output is good, i have a wet diaper every 3 or 4 hours... should i be worried? does this sound healthy ?

My son had the same thing, when I took him to the dr, they took a culture and had it sent off. In the mean time (in case it was pink eye) they gave me an ointment to put in his eye. It ended up being a clogged tear duct, the dr called me with the results and told me to stop using the ointment. He was to the point where his eye was practically glued shut with the goo. It cleared up within a few days though. Yours sounds more serious and I would go above your drs head. If it turns out to be nothing but the tear duct, then you will feel better knowing you did all you could. On the other hand if you don't go you really don't know what the outcome will be, whether the baby could lose sight in the eye or it become weak, etc. You should do what makes you feel better.

Ford v10 engine, near end of life?

This 2002 has 190k miles. When I talked to a mechanic he said the v10 usually only goes 100k. I take off the oil cap, and it was covered in oil. The oil though was white, and had slivers of metal. I really need help with my 1992 Camaro RS?

My car runs great...when it runs. It turns over fine although it does need a new starter. It idles fine. It's just after it's been running for a while it suddenly dies. It still turns over when you go to start it but it won't start. If you spray starting fluid in the carburetor it starts right up and it'll run for another 5mins or another half an hour. It's wierd. I've been told it's probably some kind of sensor in the computer. So I have been searching craigslist for about two weeks getting pretty obsessed with finding a place to live. I have to be out of the place I live now by the end of the month and its getting down to the wire. I have gone and looked at about six rooms now and probably sent out a hundred e-mails to people. I pretty much have to move in a week. I have come across all types of good and bad. So far out of six places I have been to, only this last one I saw yesterday wants me to move in. Its a really nice place everything is perfect about it other then the fact that it has a super hippy vegan vibe. I can afford it, it has features in the room that I have always wanted, utilities included, nice positive people, good common space, fancy kitchen, good location (close to boyfriend, transportation, and work) and a beautiful back yard. The only down side is that it has a meat free and possibly animal product free kitchen. I am basically a vegan but I am not committed to the ideology behind it and I still eat animal products sometimes. I dont think it would be a big deal to not have animal products in the refrigerator if I lived there because I have a fridge at work and by boyfriends house. I rarely buy them anyways. The stuff thats holding me back is more about the possibility of personality conflicts, I am just afraid that Im too conservative for them. I grew up on a commune and have a total hippy background but thats not who I am now. I still have a lot of the same morals and ideas but I dont look or feel like one. I keep telling my self that if they are willing to accept me then I should be able to accept them. Everyone tells me to go with my instinct or that Ill know if its right but I have an anxious personality and I dont know how to get past the anxiety to get to the gut feeling. Should I just do it? Time is running out and I think I would be happy there and most likely as long as I am respectful about the vegan stuff they will be respectful about my more mainstream (hipster-ish) vibe. I'm 25 years old. And have been drinking on a regular basis for almost 6 years. ABout 3-4 drinks a day. Mostly beer. I lie to myself by saying i'm not an alcoholic because i don't ever get truly drunk and am very awaye of my surroundings. But lately I think i've been suffering from depression. I get scared now because when I don't feel right in any way - the first thing i do is run to buy beer. I find a reason to drink for anything ! Leopard Gecko not eating?

Hi, i have a leopard Gecko which is about 7 months old. She has never eaten well from when i first brought her, but recently she wont eat anything at all. I keep putting crickets and meal worms in her cage but she wont touch them. I know the temperature and the size of the crickets are correct. I also put in a few waxworms to help her gain weight. I know they are highly addictive but not sure what else to do. I aslo tried putting a dead pinkie in and she went up to it, licked it and walked straight over it. Need some help, any ideas??

Parking in Seattle - Reasonable Price for the Day?

Anyone know of a good and reasonable place to park for the day in Seattle? I am thinking about getting to Seattle on the early side on July 23 to try to go up the Space Needle before seeing the Mariner game at 1:30, then leave for Longview, WA where my grandmother lives after the game. I have had the strangest night and morning. Last night while giving my son (2 years old) a bath, he started saying his aunt and uncles names. He doesn't bring them up much so this was strange to me. This morning I woke up vomiting. I am not sick or pregnant and didn't really know what that was all about. I rarely get sick. Later in the day I found out my sister in law (my sons aunt) who is pregnant started bleeding last night. She is ok by the way. Shortly after I got sick this am I found out my parents basement flooded. They are being evacuated from their home because they expect more flooding. I guess for me I enjoy meat. Yes vegetarian and vegan dishes are satisfying and taste as good as meat dishes , but it is similar to comparing apples and oranges. Why is their a need for both ,now we could argue creation but that wasn't your question. Meat has textures and tastes that I haven't found in vegetables. Now it may be safer with all the diseases in animals to eat veggies but, wasn't their a recent tomato scare with salmonella? It probably all boils down to personal preference like I said I eat meat not because veggies taste bad or I don't like them I just like meat too. I also find that when cooking they compliment each other.

Well I am having a difficult time with girls. I have never had a girlfriend mostly because I was afraid. I didn't want to disappoint her any. 1985 mariner 45 starts but dies?

Hi,this engine has been stored for last 2 years my friend has bought it for his day fisher.We have replaced all the fuel pipes,plugs,cleaned the carb bowls&filters and the main engine filter and replaced the boats fuel pipe and primer bulb.Once primed it starts easy and will run great if theres plenty of throttle on,if the throttle is eased of it dies.If you re-prime it with the bulb it starts straight back up but still only runs if you keep the revs up(too many to be putting it in gear) Its a 4cyl with twin carbs and i cant see a fuel pump anywhere,its definitely dying through fuel starvation but we cant see why ,it will run on slightly less throttle if the fuel tank is raised higher than the engine,its a new tank and yes we open the vent.any ideas would be very welcome,thanks.

Kid ruining my reputation?

There is this kid at my school. Me and him were never really friends. He is like the kid you only talk to in a cl where you know no one else. Well the other day in this music cl there was a sub. The kid was talking crap to this freshman so they decided to fight. The kid got his whooped and i literally had to pull the freshman off of him. Afterward he kept talking about it and i told him to just be quiet you win some you lose some. He started saying how he could beat me up. I fought him but not really. I punched him a few times and then just held him down. I got behind him so i could have easily messed him up but i didn't i just proved that i won then left him alone. So yesterday i guess his face was swollen because of how bad the freshman punched him up. He told everyone his face was swollen because i threw him down the steps. And punched him in the head. Didn't do anything to this kid. I know for a fact that i never through him down any steps and he is completely making that up. He still continues to try to follow me around and go where i am going. Asking me to pay for him after he follows my friends around at lunchtime. Then going and saying that i am lying and threw him down steps. I am thinking about actually throwing him down some steps now. What should i do?

How long after I've removed infested material will it take for pantry moths to disappear?

Pantry moths were brought into my house on some cardboard from my garage that had been stored next to the bird seed. I've only seen the moths in my living room where the cardboard was placed behind the entertainment center. I haven't seen any moths anywhere near my pantry. I've thrown away the cardboard and emptied the pantry and put all the food in airtight containers. I bought hormone traps and placed them in the living room. It has been four days and I'm still seeing four or five moths a day. Did I miss something or do the moths take a while to go away? Could eggs be hiding in the back of my entertainment center?
